Stanislaus County Library Events & Classes

Year round

 

Join your favorite library for upcoming events, classes and programs running all year long.  Activities include LEGO Day, Coloring/Watercolor Painting Activity, Book Clubs, Story Time and many more.  All events are FREE and open to the public (registration required where noted).  To see a list of Dates and Activities, click here.

Story Time at Barnes & Noble 

Saturdays 11:00 a.m.

 

The Modesto bookstore holds a special half hour story time event for young children.  Listen to a new story every Saturday. All story time events are FREE and open to the public.  To see a list of Dates and Stories, click here.

McHenry Mansion

Sunday through Fridays 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

The McHenry Mansion is Modesto's Treasure.  It is the city's only original Victorian home and one of the few remaining reminders of the town's rich heritage.  Admission is FREE and tours are given every half hour starting at 12:30pm.

McHenry Museum

Sunday through Fridays 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

Learn about the history of Modesto at the McHenry Museum.  Originally constructed as a library in 1912, the museum is one of the few remaining reminders of the town's rich heritage.  Admission is FREE and open to the public.

Stanislaus County Office of Education with the support of Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department have created a FOCUS application for first responders to help identify students experiencing trauma.

California Department of Education State Superintendent Tom Torlakson sends letter to all California school districts, promoting the implementation of the FOCUS Program state-wide.

West Virginia Center for Children's Justice hosted it's first ever Handle With Care Conference.   FOCUS was modeled after HWC and we were invited to attend and share the successful launching of our program.
