- Will confidential information be released? No. The information obtained and released is limited to the child’s name, date of birth, and school. No confidential incident details are provided.
- What is the age limit? All school-aged children, from preschool through 12th grade.
- Are FOCUS notifications still provided during the summer? Yes.
- Who can submit a referral? First responders, including but not limited to law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical responders, and emergency room personnel, through the proper credentials provided by the Stanislaus County Office of Education.
- Is parental consent necessary for a referral to be completed? No.
- What is the criteria for a FOCUS notification to be generated? Any situation where a child may have been exposed to a stressful event.
